“As a dental assistant here at Jagor & Jagor since April of ’07, I primarily work with Dr. Bruce. I “greet and seat” folks and then assist Dr. Bruce during dental procedures. This includes sterilizing instruments, making dental impressions and molds, requesting lab work, making sure the examination rooms are stocked and prepped. The best part of my job is what goes on in between — interacting with patients, the dentists, and the rest of the staff here. It’s such a warm place, filled with teamwork and a heavy dose of humor. There is always something new going on; whether it’s a unique procedure, another learning opportunity, or seeing a face I haven’t seen in a while. The atmosphere really rubs off on the patients as well; you can sense it as soon as they walk in to the exam room. They are relaxed and comfortable. It’s not your typical trip to the dentist. Like most everyone else here, I am a native Atlantan and a Georgia Bulldog. Between my church and my chores around the house, I keep pretty busy. If I have a spare moment, I love to paint.”
